Pancha tantra stories

Beginning of the Allied discrimination Panchatantra

A forest-son named Vardhaman lived in the city named Mahilaropya. He had sufficiently generated wealth in business in a religious manner, But he was not satisfied with that much; There was a desire to earn even more money. Wealth is earned by six measures — begging, royalty, farming, learning, interest, and trade.
Of these, the means of trade is the best. There are many types of trade also. The best of them is to collect the best items from foreign countries and sell them indigenously. Thinking this, Vardhaman resolved to go out of his city. He got his chariot ready for the route to Mathura. Put two beautiful, strong bulls in the chariot. Their names were Sanjivak and Nandak.

When Vardhman’s chariot reached the banks of the Yamuna, the bull named Sanjeevak got trapped in the marsh of the river bank. In the attempt to leave from there, one of his legs was also broken. Vardhaman was very sad to see this. Three nights he waited for the bull to recover. Later his charioteer said that “There are many predatory animals living in this forest. There is no way to protect them here. It will take many days for Sanjeevak to get well. Staying here for so many days can not take the risk of life. This bull Why do you put your life on the face of death? “

Vardhman then proceeded with a guard to protect Sanjeevak. When the guards also saw that the forest was full of many lions and tigers, they too escaped from life after two days and lied in front of Vardhaman “Swami! Sanjeevak is dead. We have lost his right. -Give it. ” Vardhaman was very sad to hear this, but now there was no solution.

Here, Sanjeevak had recovered from the Yamuna-coast’s use of cool air. The side of the side coach is very strong for the animals. After eating it continuously, he became very muscular and well-fortified. It was his job throughout the day to fill the banks of the river with horns and play by entangling the horns in the bushes of thundering banks.

One day a lion named Pinglak came to drink water on the same Yamuna coast. There he heard Sanjivak’s grave shout from far away. Hearing him, he became frightened and hid in the bushes.

The lion was also accompanied by two jackals – Kartak and Damanak. These two always followed the lion. When he saw his master in awe, he was shocked. It was indeed a matter of great surprise that the lord of the forest was frightened like this. Till date Pinglak was never frightened like this. Damanak said to his fellow jackal – ‘Kartak! Our lord is the king of the forest. All animals are afraid of him. Today, he is sitting in such a frightened manner. Even after being thirsty, he returned to the Yamuna coast to drink water; What is the reason for this fear? “

Kartak replied – “Damnable! Whatever the reason, what should we do? It is not right to interfere with the work of others. He who does so dies painfully like the monkey who ruthlessly interferes with the work of another. did .”

Damanak asked – “What did you say?”

Kartak said – “Listen!”
